This past weekend I had the pleasure of being a vendor at the 2nd annual Detroit Book City African American Book Expo.
This was a fantastic opportunity!
The event was hosted by Detroit Book City bookstore in the Stratford Building in Southfield, MI. There was so many talented and creative authors in attendance.
The event showcased several authors from all over and included seminars for anyone ready to take that journey into publication. I loved the creative marketing in some of the accompanying products like cups, puzzles and encouraging notebooks. There were also several coloring books featuring multicultural images, which is rare in my neck of the woods.
I was so glad to be apart of a literary event that created a cultural connection experience with all genres of literature represented.
I want to send out a huge thank you to everyone involved in making this event happen and providing an opportunity for authors like me to reach an audience. This is a great experience for any book lover. Interested in attending next year? Just Travel with #JustAskKiky!
